Teaching AI literacy without a lecture
A short quiz plus one tell per round works better in a classroom than a slideshow of scary examples.
Students already assume some photos are fake, and they also assume they can tell. Both beliefs are shaky. A useful class spends ten minutes on one check, then tests it, then talks about the misses.
Pick a single tell for the session. Hands for one lesson, voices for another. Show the guide, then have everyone take the matching quiz and write down what they looked at before the explanation appeared. The interesting discussion is the item they got wrong for a confident reason.
Keep the claim small. This does not make anyone a detector of arbitrary internet video. It builds a habit of looking at a specific place, and of updating that habit when the examples get harder. The expert mode exists for a second pass once the easy tells feel obvious.
